Face masks for zits and pimples in winters at home

Acne is a very common skin condition usually happen almost with 80% of the teenage population. It is not very uncommon to get acne in late 20s. It is actually present on skin in form of small or big red bump which might or might not have white gunk in it also called pustules. Most of the times it starts with black or white heads on the nose and cheeks. Some people get the deep and sever kind of pimples also called cyst. There are different types with multiple different reason and also require different treatments.


Remember one thing, if you get occasional few pimples on your face then it is not alarming. You can use some over the counter skin products to relieve the symptoms. Here some ingredients and method to make these mask at home:


First mask:




  • Mint leaves

  • Aloe Vera gel

  • Aspirin



First of all take fresh mint leaves and crush them in fine paste. Remember, you don’t want to waste its juice as it is the most important essence. Then take a tablespoon of mint leaves paste in a bowl and add half teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel in it. Then add 1-2 pinch of crushed aspirin tablet. It is more better to apply it on your affected area where you have pimples. If you want so you can also apply it on your whole face. Wait for 20 minutes then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Also, apply some good non greasy moisturizer on your face.


Second mask:




1-Turmeric powder

2-lemon juice

3-onion juice

4-gram flour

5- Aloe Vera gel




First you need to take juice of onions in a bowl and you can do so my grinding and filtering them through a strainer. Then add 1-2 teaspoon of onion juice in a bowl and also add few drops of lemon in it. After that, take a small pinch of turmeric powder and add it in it.At the end, add half teaspoon of Aloe Vera gel and enough gram flour to make a paste of it. Now mix the mixture properly and you can apply this mask at your face or only on affected areas. Wait for 20 minutes then rinse it off with lukewarm water. Also, apply some good non greasy moisturizer on your face.


Third mask:




  • benzyl penicillin

  • Fuller’s earth

  • Water

Take half teaspoon of fuller’s earth in a bowl and add 1-2 pinch of benzyl penicillin in it. Benzyl penicillin is also called penicillin G and it is an effective antibiotic which is used to treat various type of infections in the body.But here this injection which is in form of powder mixed with any cream or Aloe Vera gel and it will be used to reduce the germs activity in and around the bacteria.

After that mix the powders and add enough water to make a smooth applicable paste. Then apply it on your whole face or just the affected area.

Ingredients used in these mask are extremely anti-inflammatory and microbial as well. The will leave a soothing and healing characteristics on the skin which will bring down the size and swelling of active pimples. Furthermore, they will also help to improve the overall health and hydration of the skin. Use these mask once or twice a week and you can use it more often if you only use them on affected areas.
